Julissa Andrade is a rising sophomore at Cornell University majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations with concentrations in Inequality Studies, Law and Society, and Business. She conducts independent historical research with the Office of Academic Diversity Initiatives that involves migrant farmworker outreach programs implemented in the Upstate New York Area. In addition, she has conducted research in conjunction with the Arts and Sciences Department of Cornell University to evaluate the successes of recent diversity initiatives. She is interested in the intersection between civil, immigrant, and worker rights. She wants to teach young people how to advocate for themselves in the public sphere, and hopes to pursue a J.D. after she graduates.
