With an extensive background in health care administration, Julius Romero guides undergraduate medical education activities at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. He engages with students who are in the clinical clerkship portion of their work toward a degree. Julius Romero serves as a life coach to medical students and has helped guide the educational paths of more than 4,000 students over a 14-year period.

Mr. Romero also leads the consulting firm MedGlobal Group, which is dedicated to providing foreign medical institutions with access to U.S. clinical training sites. He organizes online resources and live course work that enables physician graduates and medical students to successfully complete medical licensure exams in the United States.

Mr. Romero’s activities with MedGlobal Group extend to the maintenance of a watchdog organization and think tank that seeks to inform and educate state medical boards on issues relevant to clinical clerkship access and residency applicant selection. An overarching aim is to improve the fairness of policies in this sphere. Maintaining a strong community presence, Julius Romero supports the ARK Foundation, which seeks to feed children from underprivileged backgrounds in rural areas of the Philippines.
