HR can be such a scary word. It's like getting sent to the principals office in school, I know, I spent a lot of time there :) As an HR professional, currently the Director of People at TrustedAd, Inc, I make it my goal to make sure all my employees are comfortable coming to talk to me about anything. I want to know even if something outside of work is bothering them, it can impact their ability to perform their jobs, and so much better to let me know, I can help. I've certainly got the Start-Up bug that goes along with living in the Silicon Valley. I love that I can learn each day from people that I work with, and I hope that they feel the same way about me.
