As a Partner at PwC Canada, I lead the Legal Business Solutions practice, focused on transforming the practice of law by integrating human insight with cutting-edge technology. With over 20 years of experience and 13 years at PwC, I am deeply committed to building trust in society by solving important problems, particularly within the tax and legal domains.

In my current role, I also serve on PwC Canada’s GenAI Community of Solvers, a cross-functional team dedicated to guiding clients through the complexities of GenAI adoption. My work in this area includes implementing GenAI solutions within PwC Canada’s internal Tax and Legal practices and collaborating with clients to develop their GenAI strategies and rollouts.

As a member of PwC’s Global LegalTech Leadership team, I bring a global perspective to the adoption of technology in legal functions. My expertise spans functional strategy, operating model design, technology roadmap development, and the implementation of transformative technologies such as Contract Lifecycle Management, Matter Management, Tax Provision Automation, and more.

I have also been a part of our Tax Reporting & Strategy team, helping our clients’ tax functions be more effective. This has given me an opportunity to represent Tax in working with our key technology Alliances, working closely with PwC’s Microsoft, SAP, and Workday teams to drive innovation and value for our clients.

My educational background includes an MSc in International Trade from the University of Reading, an Honours BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a CPA from Delaware. I also hold certifications in project management and data science, which complement my strategic and technology-driven approach to client service.

Outside of work, I have had the privilege of serving the community through my participation on the United Way of Halton and Hamilton Campaign Cabinet, and on the boards of The Muslim Fund, the Pearson Centre for Progressive Policy, the Fakih Foundation, Working Skills Centre, Multilingual Community Interpreter Services and other organizations.

I am passionate about helping organizations navigate the evolving landscape of tax and legal technology, as well as coaching and mentoring for BIPOC communities. If you would like to connect with me on any of these, please reach out.
