Hi, my name is Jungwoo Ryu from Sammamish, Washington. I am a rising freshman in college and will be majoring in business next year. I will play soccer on the east coast at the Division Three level in college at Babson. I enjoy playing soccer, hanging out with friends, watching sports, and lifting.

I admire journalism. My journalistic writing style strives to be informative, interesting, and accessible. I make an effort to offer accurate and thorough information on a variety of subjects, with sports analysis being one of my favorites. I believe that my skill comes from interviewing experts in a field of study by obtaining insightful quotes from them for use in my work. Whether it's breaking news, feature articles, or opinion pieces, I aim to present the facts clearly and concisely while maintaining readability and coherence.

My biggest takeaway from journalism class this year is accuracy and integrity. This year's journalism class taught me the importance of accuracy and morality. I say this because, even though journalism has its own set of restrictions on creativity and impartiality, you never stop learning since you are continuously speaking with experts and learning from their words. No matter how talented and innovative you are as a writer, accuracy is always the most crucial factor in journalism because one error or piece of misleading information can damage your reputation. You must constantly be aware of what is going on in the outside world and use this knowledge to your advantage if you want to achieve success. Everyone has an opinion about current events, so one must make use of this to obtain insightful knowledge and convey it engagingly and persuasively to the rest of the audience around the world. What distinguishes one from the others? How does one influence the world? Things you consider that are of public concern and how a journalist can adjust to other cultures to provide the world with news that is smart and entertaining.
