He is a highly experienced medical professional, serving over 20 years as a full-time Orthopedic medical surgeon, a field nurse, and a medical assistant chief surgeon for MSF medical support teams. He maintains his field nurse training, which has provided him with diverse experiences, including international travel and humanitarian aid.
Despite his extensive medical career, he also has an unexpected background in business marketing, though he never worked in a business organization. He completed his university education early, participating in a free medical program that offered scholarships for medical training. This program, supported by numerous funders, also trained medical field nurses for the United Nations. Through this, he earned his first degree in nursing and subsequently secured a position with a major medical organization in the US.
Dr. Wang has worked with various medical training programs, including the American Red Cross and Oxfam, and is currently with MSF. He recently accepted a one-year contract with the US Army as a chief surgeon in Jordan.
