Juri Saito is a Japanese harpist originally from Shizuoka, Japan. She got 2nd prize in the professional division of Nippon harp competition in 2015. She had also received 3rd prize at same competition in the advanced division in 2012. She was chosen as a “Virtuoso musician in Shizuoka” in 2013 and got a "Rodin Award". She got 2nd prize in the Osaka international music competition, harp division. As a concert artist Juri has presented many solo recitals until now. She performed Mozarto - Concerto for Flute and Harp with Pavel Fortin, Gumma Symphony Orchestra principal flutist.
Active as an orchestral and chamber musician, she has performed in many professional orchestras in Tokyo. She has most recently performed as principal harp with the Shizuoka Symphony Orchestra, Gumma Symphony Orchestra Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra, and second harp with The Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, among others. In 2016, she performed in “The Orchestra Japan”, and went on the “Disney on Classic" tour with Broadway singers. In 2012 and 2013, Juri participated in the Nice international summer academy as a student of Emmanuel Ceysson, and She was also joined in Elizabeth Hainen harp colony in 2017 and chosen as three soloists.
Juri earned her Bachelor of Music degree in 2016 from the Tokyo University of the Arts, where she studied with Mari Kimura, Hisako Matsui (Principal harpist, The Japan Philharmonic Orchestra) and Mai Fukui.
