Chy

Zambia

Chy (born Musonda Chisanga Mumba, September 17th) is a Zambian Female Footballer (Striker).

Chy was born in Ndola and is the co-founder of two athletic movements IIwice and Renegade Brilliance and sole founder of the 18th Tradition.

Being the only Girl in the family exposed her to Diverse Sport and had her take up Football and Table Tennis as a whole.

She begun her Football Grooming initially as an Attacking Midfielder under Coaches, Francis Litana and Fred Bwalya during Junior Level at Ace Academy (now Gomes FC) in 2005 and later continued playing in the Junior ISAZ Leagues. She later attended Former Zambian National Football Team Captain, Christopher Katongo's Football School in 2011 and later focused on Table Tennis after sustaining a recurrent Infra-patella Fat Pad Knee Injury which saw her unfit for the sport.

The Athlete then made her return to the Soccer Pitch after talks with her Mentor, also Zambian International, Noah Sikombe Chivuta who gave her advice on the perks of being a Student Athlete and how to go about it which saw her attending Trials at Indeni Roses FC in 2014.

Chy is currently playing in the ZUSA/ZAFUCS League for MULS FC and also on call for the Zambian NWCT.
