Just Glass Repairs

Here is what you need to look for when hiring a glazier:

A worker experienced in working with flat glass surfaces and capable of high precision cuts. The higher the quality control, the better. A quality glazier is that of a master craftsman. Each surface and edge needs to be spot on and beautifully rendered even under extreme scrutiny.

Extensive know how regarding all types of installations is also a must. Even the most "every day" glass surface requires considerable effort to install properly and safely. From flush glaze frames to curtain walls, shower doors, and everything in between, the experience and know how has to be there.

An ability to improvise and find quick solutions should anything go wrong at any point during the process is also key. Glass is fragile after all. Glaziers that manage to roll with it and make an opportunity out of their adversity should a hitch come up (and Murphy's Law states that it absolutely will at some point or another) rather than becoming frustrated will always get the best results.

With all of this in mind, you should have a better understand of what truly makes a quality glazier. If hiring yourself, or looking to be hired as one, qualities such as improvisation and calm demeanor, precision and craftsmanship, and varied installation experience are absolutely integral. There is no reason to settle for anything less.

It is easy to take for granted, but the various glass surfaces that surround us everyday have to be made and installed with serious expertise and know how. The fragility of glass means there are no room for errors. As such, it is absolutely essential for the glazier entrusted with any glass work be of the highest pedigree. It's true what they say: "you get what you pay for," so you may as well go for the best.
