I am more than proud to represent my beautiful university on Homecoming Court for the 2011-2012 school year. My sponsoring organization is the school's newspaper - the Collegiate Times. Yes, that means that I am the ONLY member of VT Homecoming Court 2011 that is NOT sponsored by a fraternity or sorority. As you may know, all newspapers do is get the word out there about others. That's exactly what I want to do too!

I'm meeting with organizations and getting to meet all kinds of people over the next two weeks. My goal, through all of this, is to connect with organizations all over the place. I want to meet with and get to know as many Hokies as hokiely possible. I also want people to know that Homecoming isn't just a Greek event. While Greek's are awesome and do great things for our university and then some, being a part of this great university tradition of Homecoming is about way more than that.

Homecoming is about the alumni and about service. Every single day that I get out of bed, I hope to embody that - that VT culture of service, our university motto of "Ut Prosim," that I may serve (Hence the Rolling for the Crown).
