Justin Hickman is a software engineer and co-founder of Vertispan, a company he helped start to support teams building and maintaining large, long-lived Java web applications on GWT (Google Web Toolkit). Over the years, Justin has worn many hats on development teams — from designing and implementing back-end systems to leading web-based projects built with GWT/GXT and other JavaScript frameworks. At Vertispan he leads client engagements migrating and modernizing enterprise GWT codebases, builds custom developer tooling, and maintains deep expertise in the GWT/GXT internals as a member of the GWT Steering Committee.
Justin currently lives in New England and continues to bring the same high standards to every project he takes on, whether it's legacy modernization, custom tooling, or staying current with modern frontend and cloud practices.
