Hire me

I am currently a student at the University of California, Los Angeles and aspiring Occupational Therapist. I have planned to become an Occupational Therapist since I graduated high school because of the field’s impact on my personal life and on the lives of those I love. I want to be able to guide others on their way to live an independent lifestyle.

Though Occupational Therapy has always been my desired career, I still chose to major in English Literature in order to enhance my critical thinking, analyzation, and writing skills which are all vital in the field of Occupational Therapy. In fact, my experience in teaching, guiding, and tutoring others with their English skills has helped me understand how to better assist patients and clients during my Occupational Therapy volunteer work.

I seek to add on to my background in teaching/tutoring English and working in a medical setting. I have experience in tutoring English language learners, emeritus students, students with disabilities, international students, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Additionally, I have experience in working in pediatric, geriatric, and brain injury disability care. My ultimate goal is to serve my community, contribute to the workplace, hone my leadership skills and of course, achieve my educational objectives.

As for my hobbies, I have always had a passion for poetry, creative writing, and public speaking. I am an award-winning published poet on the literary magazines "Teen Ink" and "Titan Musings." I am also featured on the award-winning anthology, "Sound Generation." I have performed poetry on stages across California, and have also judged poetry competitions! Because of my passion for performance, poetry, and public speaking, I have been asked to lecture, present, and perform in educational settings from the Elementary level to the college level. I hope to spread my love for my hobbies in a way that can uplift and inspire those around me.
