Justine Scorrer

Justine has worked within the Community Development field for over 20 years. She worked at the University of Glamorgan for several years as a research fellow specialising in Community Development and participation. She has also completed a 3 year secondment within the Communities Division of Welsh Government.

She established Justine Scorrer Training and Consultancy in November 2012 and work since then has included;

o Designing and delivering a participative training courses such as ‘Managing Project Transitions’ , ' Community Involvement Tools and Techniques' for the WCVA

o Working as a consultant with Glyncoch Communities First undertaking some community involvement support with a group of community activists.

o Providing consultancy and support for numerous Communities First Clusters including work on Community Involvement Plans and Delivery Plans

o Facilitating sessions with tenants and board members for Neath and Port Talbot Homes and Newydd Housing Association

o Working with numerous Communities First Boards on governance and involvement

o Researching and producing a learner voice evaluation of the WEA ESIL and ELIS projects

o Working with the Wales Centre for Equity in Education, and schools around improving educational outcomes and tackling poverty

o Assisting Agored Cymru to assess how their organisation contributes to the tackling poverty agenda

o Gaining a large ESF funded tender as part of a small consortium to design and deliver Employment Training Support to the Communities First Workforce across Wales

Most recently she worked as Community Regeneration Manager for Linc Cymru for three years.

o Managing a team that delivers Community Benefits and Community Regeneration Projects including TR&T

o Successful funding bids to Natural Resources Wales delivering a Greening Project, best practice guide and conference

o Working with partners, Cynnal Cymru, Manchester Met University and the Carbon Literacy Project to develop an accredited Carbon Literacy-course designed for Welsh Housing

o Contributing to Value for Money, Self Evaluation and Carbon Reduction Plans for Linc

Justine has since returned to consultancy work has included;

o Delivery of Carbon Literacy training for Housing and Health sectors on behalf of Cynnal Cymru.
