You know, just a 22 year old lesbian writer trying to find her way through words in the big book of life.

I have been published through my college's journalism program and served a semester as the features editor of The Skyline View. I have accomplished a lot, but never enough. August, 2013 I offically won my first award in writing through JACC. First place for critical review on Toby Keith's 2012 album Hope on the Rocks.

I've tried to work in growing up as a lesbian in some of my work. Through words and humor I aspire to be motivation for LGBT youth to speak their mind and understand that they aren't alone.

I'm a little eccentric and a little stubborn. I've always loved literature and poetry. That's where the roots of my passion for writing stems from. Walt Whitman was one of my first inspirations. I've adopted Whitman's words of "Resist much, obey little." as my motto in life. Words powerful enough to get tattoed on my collar bone. To prove how much words really mean to me, on the opposite collar bone I have "Love hard, Laugh harder." A quote I wrote myself. Both tattoos bring forth my personality and remind me everyday that im only a few inches from greatness. MY words are only inches from Whitman's.

I love to write, I love to review, and I love to be honest. I love to be funny, but I'm amazing at being serious. I'm your hopeless romantic, big time softie, and comedic relief. Whether I write about music, sports, entertainment, sex and dating, or my personal life I try to let my personality take shape in my words. I'd rather you know me through my work, because my work is my art, and my art is my life.
