Justine Edward

My first children's picture book 'Shine' was released in June 2013 through Balboa Press. Illustrated by an 8 year old boy with Autism, it encourages every child to believe in themselves and reach for their dreams.

Helping others is at the core of my being and it drives my passion as a writer. My desire is to create books which will inspire and empower children to reach their full potential.

I am also a primary school teacher and a mother of three. I have been teaching children for over a decade and I know the importance of words in building a strong and healthy self image.

I hope to release another children's picture book in 2014 called 'Princesses Do Belong in the Jungle'.

I live in Far North Queensland, Australia. When I am not writing or teaching I love being outdoors and enjoying this beautiful area with my family. Snorkelling, photography and baking are some of my favourite pastimes.
