Justine Walkiria Jennings is a UC Berkeley graduate with a B.A. in American Studies, concentrating on "Gender Politics." Her undergraduate research focused on the intersection of law and gender and her thesis investigated the socio-politics of medicalized childbirth versus midwife-attended childbirth.

While living in Spain for three months, she traveled through France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, and Germany, seeing a total of 12 cities in 12 weeks, all while studying Spanish literature, theatre, and cinema.

She continues to research socio-politics and writes about it all on her blog, My Feminist Briefs.

She currently lives in Oakland with her husband, two dogs, cat, and their snake, Hugsy.
