While born and raised in the Chicagoland area my whole life, I have seen many different countries around the world and have experienced many different people and cultures along the way. I am currently a senior at Loras College in Dubuque, IA where I study for a degree in Business, International Studies, and Economics. I speak conversational French, helping me make connections with people throughout different continents. My father was born and raised in Lyon, France where I have traveled to countless times throughout my life. I am avid about being able to travel the world once I graduate, hence the International Studies minor.
I have been heavily involved with teams my whole life. My work experience as a chef in a banquet kitchen has sculpted me into a coercive and exceptional team member. I also have been involved with organized sports my whole life. Currently playing for the Loras College Men's Varsity Soccer Team, I have learned invaluable life lessons about competitiveness, perseverance, assertiveness, and teamwork
I have also learned the value of perseverance throughout my years in sports and in the kitchen. I fought my way into being promoted from Pantry Chef to Sous Chef at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago after two years of experience. I then finished high school to go onto playing college soccer. I was not heavily recruited coming into Loras and was put onto the reserve team. I accepted the challenge and earned a starting spot on the Varsity roster after two years of developing as a player. I ended my career scoring the double overtime game winning goal to send my team to the Final Four at Sporting Park in Kansas City, MI in December of 2015. There, my team and I made school history by being the first athletic program in Loras History to play in the National Championship Game. I started my college soccer career in the bench of the JV squad and ended it with making a huge contribution, starting every game and playing all 90 minutes in Loras College's first ever National Championship game.
I am working towards my degree with a 3.1 major GPA and will be making the most of my last semester at Loras by cherishing each moment I have on campus while setting myself up for a very happy and successful future.
