Justin Q. Gomez

Justin Gomez was born and raised in the Bay Area, growing up in Walnut Creek. He received his BS in Recreation Administration from Sacramento State where he was involved with his fraternity, new student orientation and academic advising as an undergrad. Through his involvement experiences Justin quickly found a knack for working with students and joined Sac State's Admissions and Outreach team as a counselor upon graduation. After a year recruiting from high schools up and down California, Justin took a break from higher education, moving to Chicago where he quickly learned that Californians don't do well in the Windy City. Justin returned to higher education at the University of the Pacific for graduate school. Working as a Greek Residence Director, Justin worked with the Pacific Greek community, advising the Panhellenic Council and the fraternity with which he resided in, Theta Chi. Upon completion of his masters, Justin began work with the Associated Students of Sonoma State as their student government coordinator, advising the elected officers, in addition to running spirit programming, club funding, marketing and office operations. Most recently, Justin has joined UC Berkekey's LEAD Center, advising 200 student organizations in the areas of recreation, health and wellness, art and performing arts. In his spare time, Justin is an avid runner and outdoorsmen, enjoying everything from skiing to rock climbing, to camping and hiking. He currently resides in Martinez, California with his wife, Angela and dog, Gracie
