Justin Gung
Based in Nashville, Justin Gung has served as an associate pastor at Woodmont Christian Church since 2012. In this capacity, he leads weekly worship sessions and helps congregation members live a spiritual life dedicated to the values of the Christian faith. Justin Gung maintains primary responsibilities as the head of the Children and Family Ministry, sourcing volunteers and holding Bible study classes to facilitate spiritual development among all young members. Moreover, he has grown the children’s Vacation Bible School, which attracted a record 150 participants across two years.
Previously, Justin Gung served as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where in addition to his preaching duties he oversaw a wide range of business operations. In this position for five years, he strengthened the church’s financial standing and steered it through a period of change following the senior executive’s departure.
Justin Gung holds a bachelor of arts in leadership studies and English literature from the University of Richmond, a master of divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a master of education in human development counseling from Vanderbilt University. He was ordained as a minister of the word and sacrament in 2005. An engaged leader, Pastor Gung maintains a seat on the Committee on Ministry of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee.
