Justin Peter Lowe

Justin is an American-Swiss entrepreneur and the founder of Gardiner Investments, a family office. Justin has 30 years of experience in global capital markets and investment banking with extensive expertise in origination and capital solutions, underwriting and distribution, special situations and global asset management. He started investing in hedge funds in 1999 and co-founded Reliance Management, a leading fund of hedge funds manager, managing over $2 billion by 2008. In 2010, Reliance acquired the NY based Pan Funds and became Pan Reliance Capital Advisors. Pan Reliance won several awards, including Sustained Excellence in Funds of Hedge Funds Management in 2014 and Fund of Hedge Funds Adviser of the year in 2013 and 2017.

Justin successfully exited the business and founded Gardiner Investments to manage family assets. Prior to Reliance, Justin started a software company in 1999 that grew out of this work at Broadview International – now Jefferies, a venture and investment Banking Firm focused on the IT industry, where he focused transactions in the software space. He had a successful exit in 2001. Justin started his career in 1993 as a consultant for Bain & Company where he served in the Geneva, Paris, London, and Munich offices. Gardiner invests across a number of sectors including technology, financial technology and natural resources. Within natural resources Gardiner is focused on critical metals via investments in LatAm, Africa and Europe.

He is also Chairman the Advisory Board of PSG Capital and its subsidiary Peregrine a financial technology company based in Abu Dhabi.

He is also a senior advisor to the Fit for Life Foundation. The Fit for Life Foundation, founded by the Lowe Family, supports healthy aging and independent mobility of people in aging societies worldwide. He is a Board Member of the Surfrider Foundation, Miami Chapter, a non-profit focused on clean oceans.

Justin received an MBA from Columbia University School of Business in 1998 and a B. Sc. (Econ.) in International Relations from the London School of Economics in 1993. He has completed his full Swiss Military Service. In addition to English, he speaks fluent French, Spanish and conversational German. He is the great grandson of Robert Hallowell Gardiner IV, the founder of the Fiduciary Trust Company in Boston in 1928. He is also the great grandson of Adrien Lachenal, elected President of the Swiss Confederation in 1896 and the grandson of Marc Peter, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United States from 1919 to 1939. .
