What's poppin'!
I'm not hopping in a brand new whip anytime soon (shoutout Jack Harlow) because I'm a broke high school student, but maybe that will be the case some time in the future.
Speaking of the future, I know that I have very little control as to what is actually going to happen. For all I know, two countries could start World War III tomorrow while I'm working on this bio. I can do all the planning I want, but all it takes is one moment to change a life forever. In life, I try to be like a swarmer in boxing - someone who can take countless hits and continue pushing forward. Someone who can roll with the punches instead of allowing them to knock him out. As movie icon Sylvester Stallone (as Rocky Balboa) once said, "Nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward."
While I try my best to control what I can control, I realize that there are many things that I can't control, and I've gradually learned to accept them as they are. Instead of obsession over what could have been, I've learned to adapt to the situation to make the most of it. I don't know when life will throw a hard left hook, but I can try to avoid it if I can. When I can't, I'll just have to take it on the chin. I might even get knocked down. But to win in life, I know I have to take the hardest hits and keep going.
I will never ever be the most talented or intelligent individual to ever exist. But I am someone that is determined to never be counted out. I am determined to be someone who can take life's hardest hits, get up, and keep going.
"[Because] that's how winning is done." - Rocky Balboa
