Favorite memory: Being the Maid of Honor in my sister's wedding (and delivering by far the superior toast at the reception)

What is your fondest WSU memory thus far?: My first day at WSU! I was so nervous starting my new job especially in the middle of the summer, but the OCs and New Student Programs professional staff were so welcoming and made me feel as though I'd been there for years already. It's been nothing but wonderful ever since!

What is your favorite spot on campus?: There's a small garden right outside Lighty Student Services that I walk through on my way to work every day. In the spring and summer, it's bursting with flowers and lavender. It smells wonderful and puts me in a great mood.

What advice do you have for new Cougar parents?: Challenge your student to start handling "adulthood" on their own. Have them schedule their own doctor's appointments! Push them to learn how to do their own laundry! Figuring out these little things on their own will make them so much more prepared to handle the big responsibilities in the future.

Favorite TV Show: Parks and Recreation. I send Galentine's Day cards to the important women in my life every year, and I am still emotionally processing the end of the show. #wafflesfriendswork

Favorite Food: Poached eggs on avocado toast. Even better with Cougar Gold cheese thrown in!

Favorite Song: "Africa" by Toto will always remind me of my best friends back home in Michigan!
