My name is Josephine.

My favourite colour is purple.

I like to do arts & crafts.

I am an author/illustrator and am passionate about literacy. I love to deliver workshops to JK/SK students. The workshop includes:

1. Reading my book using hand-held puppets. The book is titled, "We Are Colourful Friends"

2. Creating a collage with the children.

3. In small groups, the children read and act out the individual laminated pages of my book.

4. The class is visited by Ruby. She is based on one of the characters in my book and is a sculpture of a six foot tall red flamingo.

5. Provided I have a sponsor, the children are given complimentary copies of my book with a personalized inscription encouraging them to read the book to their families.

As a follow-up activity I provide colouring worksheets. Once completed the worksheets can be inserted into a book (customized title page and book provided).
