Joanna L Woerner

Joanna Woerner, MTSC (Miami University) is a Social Media Consultant at Indiana University Health where she develops content to educate, connection, and support e-patients. She presented work on the role of social media in crisis communication at the Mayo Social Media Summit and Arkansas Hospital Association Conference (2012).

Woerner was previously a Science Communicator with the Integration and Application Network at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science where she focused on grant writing, web content development, and training researchers in science writing.

When offline, Woerner enjoys painting, furniture restoration, biking, and crafting. To date, she has knit 6 sweaters. All received with the enthusiasm hand-made gifts evoke.
