Arranges major partial gifts of real estate for churches and other nonprofit organizations. Assembles land for annexation and rezoning for major production home builders. Buys mortgage notes and land contracts for our own portfolio. Licensed to sell life insurance and is a registered life settlement broker.
Having been engaged in commercial real estate brokerage since 1973, James B. Wootton has negotiated many major property transactions, including some of the larger transactions in the State of Ohio.
He was president of the Columbus Real Estate Exchangers in 1986 and rose to become president of the statewide Ohio Commercial Realtors Exchange Association in 1988. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University where he majored in Risk Management. He is also licensed to sell annuities.
Mr. Wootton is a member of the Columbus, Ohio, and National Associations of Realtors, Columbus Commercial Industrial Investment Realtors, and the Ohio Commercial Real Estate Exchangers.
He joined Kiwanis in 1982 and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of New Albany, Ohio. He has served for more than 25 years as a board member of Teen Challenge. He and his wife reside near Columbus, Ohio.

Have successfully arranged for nonprofits many major tax deductible gifts or partial gifts of real estate involving more than $1 million in property each. He is the author of Real Estate Gift, a book on arranging partial gifts of real estate to churches, about which he has provided counsel to hundreds of churches.
