Joy Yeager-Lasher

Joy has always led an active and healthy lifestyle and has continually looked for different physical and mental challenges. In 2011, she went to her first yoga class and it was love at first vinyasa! Joy found that not only did yoga challenge her body to become stronger than she even thought possible, it also challenged her mind. She soon discovered that she could implement yoga in almost every situation outside of the studio, helping her to find balance and peace.

Joy enjoys practicing the following styles of yoga: Vinyasa, Hot Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Hatha and Ashtanga. Her devoted daily practice is Ashtanga, and is what sparked the interest to teach and further her learning and understanding of yoga.

After suffering sudden health issues in 2012. Joy was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2013. As she started treatment for Lyme Disease, she also embarked on the journey of becomign a Yoga Teacher. What she desired to learn would quickly become the greatest foundation for her healing and overal well-being, which she aspires to pass on to others. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certificiation with Ally Ford in November 2013 and is currently teaching and helping bring those healing in the Shreveport-Bossier area.

Joy holds a degree in Criminal Justic Medicolegal Death Investigation as well. She also loves nature, wellness, and is a local honey producing Beekeeper in her spare time - check out www.facebook.com/YeagerLasherHoney

Joy cannot wait to further her love of yoga by learning as much as she possibly can and hopes to one day travel to Mysore, India to study with Sharath Jois.
