Katharine Carter

I have loved to write ever since I was a little kid, but I pushed
thoughts of doing it professionally aside to persue other things
until recently.

My first opportunity to combine my love for both music and writing
arrived when I was recently, and unexpectedly, offered a job reviewing
music. From there, new opportunities continue to pop up, and I am truly
thankful for that.

My other interests (besides indulging my music addiction) include
community activism, youth empowerment, and improving the
public school system. I currently work at an after-school program,
providing students with services that their schools are not
able to provide (such as writing workshops, reading exercises, and critical
thinking skill development).

I am also in the process of writing several books, one of which will display the
growing abundance of musical and artistic talent in the Baltimore area.
