Kristen Dixie

I am looking to permanently enter the teaching field at the elementary and/or secondary level, with an interest in leadership roles.

Currently, I am an Occasional Teacher at both the elementary and secondary level with the UCDSB and at the secondary level with LDSB. Previously, I was a high school English (language & literature) teacher in Mexico City where I had been teaching at the same school for the last eight years.

I am originally from Canada, where I grew-up, went on to university and concluded by graduating with my Teaching Certificate from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

I have taught a variety of grades across the K-12 spectrum in various schools and countries.

I have IB Diploma Years training for both the English Language & Literature program and the English Literature program, AP English training and IB Middle Years Program experience (8 years).

My love of education and travel is what has lead to me living and teaching abroad; my appreciation for Canada has pulled me back home.
