Kristen Markowski grew up locally in Farmington and graduated from Farmington high school. She went on to study Communications and Psychology at The University of Rhode Island and received her bachelor’s degree in 2005. She was very involved in the college community; joining the club lacrosse team for two years as well as the swim team, she became a sister of Delta Zeta sorority and also volunteered for the annual phonathon for three semesters. After graduating she went on to pursue marketing and sales positions until the opportunity in higher education with Goodwin College presented itself. She worked as an Admissions Officer for just over four years before realizing she wanted to pursue Donor Relations and Stewardship and remain in a college culture. She came to USJ after graduating in 2012 with her Master’s in Business Management from the University to work for the department of Institutional Advancement. Because she is an alumna she has a connection to the alumni body and understands the college’s vision and mission. She has prided herself on building strong and lasting relationships both professionally and personally. She enjoys doing anything active and outdoors, skiing, kayaking, traveling, enjoying great restaurants, cooking and spending time with her husband, family and friends. She recently got a golden retriever puppy and named him Chatham.
