Karabo Mkhwanazi

Hello, I am Karabo, a student in one of the best and dynamic universities, University of Johannesburg. I'm in the field of Education majoring in English and ICT. As an agent of transformation, I aim to transform learners into critical and creative thinkers, collaborative and innovative individuals through ICT integration in education and my pedagogy practice to prepare them for the Fourth Industrial Revolution world. My teaching pedagogy is the one of constructivist. When learners come to class, they already have some information in their minds. As an educator I will provide them with information that they need to know then from there they will take this information and connect it with what they already know to build a concrete knowledge. In this way learning will become student-centered and learners will not be fully independent on me to obtain knowledge they will be independent of their own learning. Since one of the ICT frameworks is “implementation”, I will implement technology in my classroom by using digital assessment tools to create assessments for my learners for them to be familiar with technology and enhance their learning. I will possibly make use of PowerPoint presentations and during lessons to make learning effective. This is to prepare learners for the 21st century.
