Hi, I’m Kristina. I am an Angel Parent.

After losing my youngest child to SIDS, I began a journey of grief that I knew others had been down. I also quickly realized that it was a grief journey that was suffered in silence. That needed to change. I wanted to let other Angel Parents know that they weren't alone, and I wanted others who had never been down this journey to understand some of the things that we go through. That is when I began writing my book, "Shattered Soul: An Angel Parent's Journey."

It has been a rough road, and it will be a road I continue on until the day I take my last breath. However, as I walk this journey, I want to help others along the way. My goal is to guide other Angel Parents, help them find resources that they need, and help them understand that they do not have to suffer this in silence any longer. It is time to #BreakOurSilence.

I also aim to help those who don't know this pain to understand ways to communicate with Angel Parents, to help them, to support them, and to help them heal as best as they can.

The loss of a child is one of those wounds that time does not heal. In many ways, time makes it worse. However, with support from loved ones, friends, and other professionals, that road can be handled in a more manageable way.

I currently am working to train those in the medical and mental health fields on how to understand the grief journey of an Angel Parent, and to help them learn things about this path of life to better help others who are on this road.

I am also part of the sales and marketing team for NameShark.net, providing hosting, certification, and web design to companies around the globe. Living in Northwest Ohio with my family, I continue to advocate for Angel Parents, and work hard to show my children that we can survive, and we can succeed, even when tragedy cuts us to the core.
