I'm a creative geek who brings structure to chaos. I do words, design, math, and music.

I currently get paid to design (but not actually code) software for IVR systems -- you know, the automated voice on the phone when you call your insurance, credit card, utility provider, etc. Most of my work is with a multinational financial services company.

Previously, I created health and wellness content for a well-known website. My specialty was designing interactive tools and algorithms that tailored information to a user's needs and interests. And occasionally, offering a probable differential diagnosis.

I played flute in and served on the board of directors of an LGBTQ-friendly community orchestra. I've been a member of other community music groups and small ensembles, too.

Three feline children -- Emily, Finn & Carmelita -- share a 1927 bungalow in a quirky intown neighborhood with me.

My life would be easier if I didn't care ... but I do.
