Kaci Kust

Kaci Kust currently works as the Bengals Correspondent and Sports Reporter for cn2. cover the Bengals, Reds, University of Louisville, University of Kentucky and other Northern Kentucky sports.

She is a 2012 Communications graduate from Hope College, where she graduated Cum Laude and focused on sports broadcast. She transferred to Hope after a year of playing college basketball at DePauw University, which was cut short as a result of a career-ending knee injury. Hope did not have a sports broadcast program before she arrived on campus, so she took it upon herself to build her own platform for reporting, which eventually led to the school adding sports broadcast classes and live streaming games.

Kaci's goal is to always be challenged. Athletics has consistently been the way she challenged herself as her enthusiasm for sports runs in the family.

Kaci's mom, Sue (Stap at the time), played tennis on the professional tour for 10 years. Her grandpa, Jake Stap, pitched for the White Sox. Her sister, Courtney, is currently a captain and leading scorer for Hope's basketball team. When her basketball career came to an end, Kaci knew she wanted to continue to work in sports and tell the story behind the athletes.

Kaci is a triple threat with a background in broadcast journalism, print journalism and social media. She currently works as Social Media Coordinator for Ignition APG, a Cincinnati-based training facility that works with NFL, NBA, MLB and Olympic athletes. She also can be seen reporting for GoBearcats.com and serving as a color analyst for University of Cincinnati women's basketball games.

In addition to her work, Kaci is the founder of Tackle Kidney Disease. A fashion show event that benefits the National Kidney Foundation and features Amy Kirchen, Dhani Jones' BowTie Cause & players from the Cincinnati Bengals. The first event will take place July 14, 2013. Kaci is extremely passionate about this event as it is planned in recognition of her mother, Sue Kust, who in May 2012, was unexpectedly diagnosed with FSG syndrome - a hidden disease causing kidney failure. Kaci is thrilled to be able to use both fashion and of course, sports to make a difference for those suffering from kidney disease.
