I like to think that I approach the practice of law in the same way I approach a new climbing route - energized by the opportunity, accepting of the challenge, tested to plan the best strategy, and relieved when it all works out.

I grew up in Massachusetts, studied economics at Vassar College, and then spent four years living, working, climbing, and skiing in the mountains of Utah, Colorado, Maine, and Pennsylvania. It was those four years that opened my eyes and intellect to land use and environmental issues and led to my pursuing both a masters degree in urban planning and a law degree.
