Kaden Ng
Philosophy Student in Hong Kong
I’m a postgraduate student in the London School of Economics (LSE) with an avid interest in philosophy, effective altruism (EA), and entrepreneurship. Currently, I’m pursuing a MSc in Philosophy of the Social Sciences.
Prior to LSE, I was the Head of Operations and Content Strategy of Jumpstart Magazine, Hong Kong’s first and only print magazine focusing on the startup ecosystem. I oversaw every aspect of the company, including content production, marketing strategies, expansion to Singapore and China, and the development of new revenue models.
Previously, I read moral and political philosophy at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where I was the top student two years in a roll. While I was an undergraduate, I co-founded Effective Altruism Hong Kong (EAHK), the first EA chapter in Asia. We organised the first EA Global Conference in Asia, 5 giving games, 8 keynote presentations, 20 monthly community meetups, and more, educated over 300 students about EA.
