Kagiso Hlongwane

Dub501 is a new age Amapiano DJ, songwriter and aspiring producer. Music has been part of him since childhood.

Dub501 who’s real name is Kagiso Hlongwane was born in Tembisa moved to Soweto in 2015 where he began his career as a DJ. Iam nowa student living in CapeTown . I am a fan of music, entrepreneurship, and arts.

Dub501 has a leading single titled “uSakhumbula” where he featured Philhamornic and LungaT. Dub501 has worked with a whole lot of producers and artists in this industry, the list consist of SimpleTone, Kota Embassy, Nkulee501 who’s now with PianoHub, Killa Punch etc.

Career Highlights

Dub501 who is a student of Mix club South Africa has acquired experience along the years having played at Cigar Lounge in Botswana, Yawa Africa (where he played an opening set for the legendary Black Coffee) and one of the biggest Amapiano Festival in Lesotho, he has played an opening set for the well-known hip hop legend KO and has also shared stage with the likes of Winnie and Rethabile Khumalo, Shimza, DJ Stokie and DJ Jaivane. He was also a manager of the platinum and gold selling artist KillaPunch (of Gigabyte and Amainternational).
