Before I start a story I like to begin with a series of drawings or work-study on the subject. This process gives me a deeper insight and understanding of the subject before I begin the composition. Hopefully this careful examination is palpable in my work.

My vision is for my images to tell their own story so that work is broad yet personal. . My goal is that the observer has a personal communion with the image. The goal of my previous work was commercial advertising and my goals today are more aesthetic, insightful and thought-provoking.

Current projects include science-fiction graphic novels featuring African-American characters, illustrations reflective of documentary work on humanitarian and social justice issues such as the genocide in Darfur, and social political commentary. I have a life-long love affair with documentaries and social justice issues. I want my work to address what I feel is important and should be valued in the human condition. All of my projects are influenced by and reflective of the issues that shape our global human society.
