Kai Chandra
Kai Chandra is an emerging talent on both the big and small screen. He has been performing since he was 7 in his native land of Indonesia, where he performed in countless plays and local television. His upbringing in this tropical paradise obviously added to his cool, self-assured, devil-may-care demeanor. Kai then made the big move to LA to pursue his lifelong dream of acting, and once there he studied with Sal Romeo at the Friends & Artists Studio. Romeo is a prominent acting coach who trained notable actors such as Dustin Nguyen, Ricky Martin, Kelly McGillis, and Sarah Brightman. Extensively trained in Stanislavski, Meisner, Linklater method. Since then, Kai’s credits have ranged over a variety of TV shows such as NYPD Blues, Martial Law, LOST, The Unit, Threat Matrix, Sleeper Cell and Pan Am as well as feature length films such as Anaconda 2 and Eat Pray Love to name a few. Being multilingual, he also lent his vocal talent to many video game titles including Joint Operation 1 & 2, as well as television shows such as the popular children’s animation series Nickleodeon’s The Wild Thornberrys.
Kai also enjoys volunteering for charitable organizations such as the Children Action Network, an organization who uses the power of entertainment community to increase awareness about children's issues. CAN is currently dedicated to finding homes for more than 114,000 children in the United States who are waiting for an adoptive family and improving outcomes for more than 500,000 children in foster care.
With the killer combination of his natural talent, good looks, multicultural background and intelligence, Kai will definitely be the one to watch. In his next project he will play a lead role as well as executive producer of the Indie feature length science fiction film “Diseased”, which will be a major studio release.
