Compassionate, giving, motivated, hungry, energetic, goal-oriented, success-driven — those would be the words to describe the team at KAI Concepts here in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We interviewed several key players to get an idea of why this new firm has been off to such a strong start. Here's what they shared:

ON HARD WORK //

A strong work ethic seems to be a uniting factor amongst the employees of KAI Concepts. One team member shared this: "At my former job, I was considered by my supervisor to be the best worker. It bothered me that I got paid the same -- or less -- than someone who was slacking." He explained that one of his favorite parts of his current role at KAI Concepts is seeing the direct connection between his hard work and his success.

ON LEADERSHIP //

A common sentiment expressed by everyone we spoke with was the desire to help others. One thing that definitely sets this group apart is how selfless and giving they are. Servant Leadership is the name of the game at KAI Concepts. This is a group that truly enjoys helping others achieve their goals.

ON WHO THEY CHOOSE TO WORK WITH //

With KAI Concepts in expansion mode, the company is currently hiring. We asked the current team who they'd like to see come on board. In response, they expressed a desire to work with individuals who have a fire inside -- people who are as hungry for success as they are. Certain words kept on coming up: energy, passion, excitement. They also said they most enjoyed working with individuals who wanted to create personal relationships with their co-workers.

ON COMPETITION //

One thing that stood out about this group is their love for healthy competition. One team member shared, "We get very rowdy when it comes to challenges. We like to win. We’re a very competitive bunch." Another KAI Concepts employee echoed this sentiment, saying, "If you’re going to do something, be the best at it." It's safe to say that there's no such thing as a calm team get together at Dave and Busters... it get's heated!

ON HAVING A STUDENT MENTALITY //

We asked the team what behaviors and mentalities might be commended by KAI Concept's president, Ianik. One team member shared the following: "It's about always being willing to learn and constantly improving." Someone else agreed, sharing, "There is always something that you can do to better yourself."
