Kailey McLeod

Student and Writer in Waltham, MA

Hey, I’m Kailey. I’m a recent graduate, living in Waltham, MA. I am a fan of design, travel, and writing. I’m also interested in dogs and the arts. I enjoy learning about different cultures, and why people do what they do. The mind fascinates me, hence my degree in psychology. I also enjoyed communication and public relations classes in college. I am creative, an empath, mental health advocate, and a lifelong learner. I love researching and investigating topics that fascinate me. In another life, I would be an investigative journalist. In my free time I enjoy graphic design, creative writing, playing with my dog, and learning about dog behavior and modes of training. I love finding solutions to daily problems myself and learning how to do new things to make my world easier, and the world at large a better place. I believe creative expression using the arts is an important part of mental well-being. I'm a mental health advocate and changing people's minds about common stigmas surrounding the field is important to me. I believe we can change common stigmas by education and sharing our personal experiences with mental health. Change takes courage, creativity, innovation, and someone who isn't afraid to be a trailblazer. It also takes hope. I am a trailblazer who has hope that we all have the power to change the world for the better.
