Kailynn Wilson

Thunder Bay, Ontario

I am a youth citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario and I am currently studying Business Fundamentals at Confederation College. I am an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, and with this I strive to help young women develop confidence in themselves and to help vulnerable women develop a sense of strength, vision and, ultimately, independence. Through the Métis Nation of Ontario I also work as a facilitator of the Infinite Reach Program, which is a solidarity network of Métis learners all over the province. I work to facilitate a sense of community between educational institutions in my city, as well as ensuring the support of vulnerable students at my college. I had studied for 3 years in the field of Forestry at Lakehead University, before taking the daunting and difficult decision to move on to a career path which would enable me to achieve the success I strive for. I now hope to further my business with Mary Kay Cosmetics and to start my own business in the future.
