I am PhD student in Political Communication at Stanford University.

My research focuses on civic engagement and governance in authoritarian as well as democratic countries. In particular, I examine how different civic engagement methods such as digital crowdsourcing, online discussion forums, deliberative mini-publics influence government’s capacity to collect reliable information from citizens and to facilitate informed citizenship. I combine experimental, ethnographic and computational method with large-scale datasets on political activity in the United States, China and West Africa to examine these questions.
