Kai’s works garner industry & media accolades thanks to quality execution and PR savvy. In 2009 he launched Diamond Lil, a bustaurant ahead of the global food truck frenzy. During the past decade and prior to moving to California, he conceived and opened acclaimed restaurants in Europe. His designs are inspired with contextual history, demographic consideration and conscientious resources. In the early 1990’s he built the first private media training centers & journalism schools in the former Soviet-bloc. Kai understands how to craft compelling stories.

Kai earned a BA in History @ Kenyon College and an MFA in Film Directing & Producing @ the European Film School in Denmark.

His wife, world-renowned actress Kasia Figura, and daughters Koko & Kaszmir live between Warsaw & San francisco. The diversity, dynamism and tolerance of the Bay Area coupled with the re-blossoming of millennia-old Warsaw provide this family perspective and appreciation for the good life.
