My family and I have moved a lot. We've moved from and to not just a couple houses or a couple of cities, but over twenty-eight houses and twenty-five cities. The first city I ever lived in is Memphis, Tennessee; the birthplace of the rock n' roll, Justin Timberlake and of course, me. We spent a couple of years in the Barbecued Pork Capital of the World, however, once my mom became a vegetarian, she just couldn't stand the smell of cooked meat anymore, so we moved to Denver, Colorado. Around first grade, my veggie-loving mom began homeschooling my two sisters and me. Due to the flexibility of homeschooling and the freezing temperatures, we decided to leave Colorado and take an RV road trip across the land of the free and home of the brave. After three years of traveling in an RV, we moved into a house without wheels in northern Michigan. Following this, we moved to southern Florida, then LA, then back to Florida, and then good ole' Atlanta, Georgia. This account has always been my go-to "life story" when I first meet and describe my life to someone. Of course, we are so much more than our typical eight sentence life stories. However, these stories give a broad outline that points to moments that forge our "story." So from my moving experience, I have found that my story includes lots of BBQ, plenty of vegetables, an abundance of feeling RV-sick, and a close bond with my family that cannot be broken. I don't know what the future holds for my "story, " but I am very excited to live it out!
