Kaitlin Mitts

I am a teacher currently living in Belleville, Ontario. I teach Primary-Junior grades as an Occasional Teacher for the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. I graduated from York University in 2012 with an Hons. BA in Children's Studies and a B.Ed., and I have also completed Special Education Part I. Teaching is a passion of mine, but has not come easy--I stepped away from the career and switched gears for 5 years after being on an Emergency Supply List and feeling stagnant. After years away with new real life perspectives having worked as a financial consultant and then in my local food bank, I feel I am now better equipped to help students facing real issues. In my personal life, I'm a mother of a toddler, I'm planning a wedding in 2020, and I joined a dodgeball league to help fight off winter blues this year.
