I love reading more than just about anything else, and when I graduate from UGA in May, I'm going to graduate school (hopefully at South Carolina--fingers crossed) to earn my master's degree in library and information science. My dream career is an elementary school media specialist. I can't wait to inspire a whole new generation of kids to fall in love with reading.
I'm your standard quirky English major: I love puns, classic novels about teen angst, and a wide range of music--everything from Ke$ha to Neutral Milk Hotel. My talents include memorizing and reciting long quotations from Shakespeare (it's a cool party trick) and popping every kernel in a bag of microwave popcorn. I'm really just a big kid at heart, and I think Roald Dahl sums up my perspective on life perfectly at the end of his book The Minpins:
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."
