I am currently enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis completing prerequisites for the Paramedic program. Once I recieve my associate of science degree in paramedicine, I hope to continue on to get my RN. From there I would like to work as a paramedic for several years and then move on to working as an ER nurse in a level 1 trauma center. In the next 10 years I see myself working with a medevac company as a flight nurse.

I began my college career as a swimmer for IUPUI. I decided to resign from the swim team when I decided that I wanted to pursue paramedicine as a career. After nearly 10 years of swimming, I do miss it and my teammates terribly, but I believe this was the best decision for me in order to pursue my dream job. Swimming taught me some very invaluble lessons of the importance of hard work and how to be a successful team member, which I am very grateful for.

I currently work in both the central and southern Indiana areas as an EMT-B. I sincerely love my job, as it is what led me to pursue this career path. I have learned things such as compassion and have gained an immeasureable amount of hands-on experience with patients in addition to having to make split-second, life-altering decisions. I am so grateful for the opportunities this job has opened for me, and the lessons it has taught me. I very much look foward to advancing my career in this field.
