New York, Ny
Kaitlyn was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to an automotive inspector and a registered nurse. Along with her older brother, she was raised in the dairy capital of Canada, Woodstock, Ontario where she spent her youth playing dress up, doing arts and crafts and laying the foundations of a life long obsession with Harry Potter.
Kaitlyn is a dedicated vegetarian; she loves all animals, especially her dog Keira and her cat, Dobby. She loves to indulge in classic movies, musicals, Doctor Who, dark chocolate, long walks and long books. She loves making a mess while cooking and inventing new flavors for her homemade popcorn.
Her sports and hobbies include playing ice hockey, rollerblading, horseback riding, swimming, knitting, sewing, making jewelry, dabbling on the guitar and ukulele, playing the piano and writing music.
Kaitlyn is a member of the New York chapter of Art of Combat, a company with a focus on martially sound technique for stage and film. She finds stage combat an extension of storytelling; the conflict of violence stems from a true build of circumstance and character emotion.
Kaitlyn is the only human actor to have played the role of Leda in Provenance by Ronnie Burkett (It is normally played by a marionette). She has been playing the piano and training in voice since the age of nine and since she was seventeen she has been continually training in jazz and tap.
She has trained in New York at The Tom Todoroff Acting Conservatory and in Toronto at Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts (Triple Threat Program).
