I am studying Broadcasting at Western Kentucky University with a concentration in Radio and Television Operations and Management and minors in Business Administration and Performing Arts Management. I am a member of the Honors College and was chosen to be an ambassador to the Honors College through the organization HonorsToppers. I have studied abroad twice. For the spring semester of 2012, I studied at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England, and over winter term in 2013, I traveled to Cuba to study the politics, history, culture, and literature there. I also was able to do a brief research project on television usage in Cuba, which was presented to the students and faculty of the School of Journalism & Broadcasting at WKU. In the summer of 2012, I worked as a general management intern at the off-Broadway play Sleep No More in New York City. In the spring of 2012, I worked as a research and programming intern at WKYU-PBS in Bowling Green, KY, and I am currently an intern at NBCUniversal for USA and Cloo Program Research. I recently began my thesis on the Sundance Film Festival for graduation from the Honors College. I will attend the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014 to complete my research.
