My name is Kaitlyn Roberts and I am a pre-vet student at the University of Georgia. As you can tell, I really love Beluga Whales. I remember seeing them on Fox 5 News when I was about eight years old, I don't know what drew me to them, but I fell in love. They're actually what made me want to go into the Veterinary field. I've visited the Georgia Aquarium countless times and even got to get in the water with them. My favorite whale is Qinu, she's pretty young and has the spunk you would expect from a young whale. While in the water, I got to pat their melons, feels their tongues, and even feed them squid and fish (dead fish and squid of course). I think about this moment every day and use it as inspiration that maybe one day I will be able to get in the water with Beluga Whales, and not just to touch them. If the Veterinarian thing doesn't work out, I would like to become a Beluga Whale trainer or work behind the scenes in an aquarium. My friends always joke about seeing the Beluga Whale billboard on highway 85 and send me a picture whenever they pass it. Other than Beluga Whales, I am a lover of all dogs and furry creatures that roam the Earth, except for snakes and frogs.
